The Librarians Whisky Club - Terms & Conditions
Persons must be aged 18 and over to subscribe. By subscribing, you are confirming that you are 18 or older. It is illegal for us to sell alcohol to anyone under the age of 18.
You can sign up to ‘The Librarians Whisky Club’ online. Signing up and subscribing to ‘The Librarians Whisky Club’ means we will automatically send you your whisky box (containing four different 30ml sample bottles) at a quarterly frequency, subject to availability and unless otherwise cancelled by you.
By subscribing to ‘The Librarians Whisky Club’ you are agreeing to pay recurring periodic subscriptions for an indefinite time (except when setting up a gift subscription), until deactivated by you or us, on the subscription terms set out in these terms.
The Librarians Whisky Club is not subject to any price match guarantee.
To sign up for this service, you must create an online account.
You can gift a The Librarians Whisky Club by buying an annual or monthly subscription to someone you know but they must be over the age of 18.
Gift senders must provide the email address of the gift recipient in order for the subscription gift details to be sent and the recipient to then redeem their gift and arrange delivery of their first box. At point of subscription purchase, gift senders can specify the date on which this email is sent but cannot trigger the direct send of a whisky box.
By providing the recipient email address for us to send the gift email, gift senders are indicating they know the recipient and have just reason to share their email with us for the sole purpose of providing the service and product. Reasonable consent is implied by the gift recipient and the gift sender can cancel your membership at any time. You will not be charged for cancellation (but will be charged for any product opened or consumed, or used or otherwise returned to us in a non saleable condition) and you can re-subscribe at any time following your cancellation, but we reserve the right not to permit re-subscription where we have previously terminated your subscription.
Delivery is free for any The Librarians Whisky Club boxes anywhere in mainland UK. Delivery restrictions apply. You can find thesehere. ID will be required on delivery in line with licensing laws.
Payment will be debited from your registered default credit/debit card held within your account - you can update payment details/add new cards by logging into your The Librarians Whisky Club Wine members account page. Our ‘The Librarians Whisky Club’ subscription charges can be found here. By supplying or registering your credit or debit card details with us you are confirming that you agree for your credit/debit card to be charged the subscription charges on a monthly or annual basis according to the subscription plan chosen via your chosen payment method, that you are either the card holder, or that you have permission from the card holder to use the card for the purpose of ordering products from us.
We will take payment from your card as soon as you subscribe to The Librarians Whisky Club according to the subscription plan chosen, and thereafter on either a monthly or annual basis as chosen by you.
If we cannot take your payment due to non authorisation of your card details we will get in touch to request new card details before we can dispatch your whisky box
If you choose the monthly subscription plan we take an initial one off payment of £75 (equivalent to 3 months’ subscription), followed by a rolling monthly subscription of £24.95 payable the following and every month unless cancelled by you. You will receive your first whisky box when you have made the initial payment of £75 and signed up to the monthly subscription of £24.95, but before the first monthly payment of £24.95 has been taken.
We cannot guarantee the availability of a specific product and box of whisky or sample bottle of whisky and reserve the right to substitute with a similar product should a product be unavailable.
Due to the nature of the old and rare whisky products that we sell, and in the spirit and ethos of The Librarians Whisky Club specific advance information and exact product detail on individual whisky sample bottles contained in each quarterly whisky bottle will not be made available.
We reserve the right to cancel any orders we cannot fulfil for any reason. If your order is cancelled, we will contact you to explain why and refund you any payment you have paid us for that order.
We will provide a full refund or replacement for any damaged or faulty products provided such damage or fault is not caused by you. This does not affect your legal rights.
Customers purchasing products for business or commercial use or for resale purposes are not permitted to use this service. Any customer found to be doing so will have their membership cancelled.
The Librarians Whisky Club boxes or membership cannot be purchased using vouchers and/or gift cards issued to you. Promotional discounts may occasionally be available to use on joining The Librarians Whisky Club these will be in the form of a promotional code to use at checkout but will be limited and subject to their own terms and conditions as advertised
“The Librarians Whisky Club Benefits” - Special conditions relating to "The Librarians Whisky Club Benefits”
To qualify for "The Librarians Whisky Club Benefits", you must be an active member. An active member is defined as having a live account.
Benefit 1. -
Benefit 2 - Discounts available to The Librarians Whisky Club. Such events will be subject to separate terms.
Benefit 3 - Whisky Tastings - Our event tastings will be subject to availability within your local area and have separate terms and conditions.
Benefit 4 - you will have exclusive priority access to purchase whisky in limited release before they are sold on our online store. These will be available after a specified period. Normal delivery terms and costs apply.We reserve the right at our discretion not to renew your subscription at any time without giving any reasons for our decision. Such reasons may include (but not limited to) suspicion of fraud.
You can cancel your The Librarians Whisky Club subscription at any time, by:
Logging in to your online account and following the cancellation procedure,

Prices may be subject to change, but we will always update you before your next box is sent so you have time to make changes if required.
We reserve the right to amend these terms if necessary, including but not limited to if there is a change in any applicable law, changes in the cost of us providing our services, or any other reason that makes such change necessary.
