This is a late 1960s bottling of the legendary White Horse blend.
Some of the core whiskies of the White Horse blend during this period were Lagavulin, Glen Elgin, Craigallachie, Port Dundas, Talisker, Cragganmore, Linkwood and Caol Ila. There is even a chance that this bottling contains the ever elusive Malt Mill…
We believe this was bottled between 1966-1969.
Our Tasting Notes:
Nose: Old Calvados. Milk chocolate wafer. Melted candle wax. Hot chestnuts. Cut grass. Neapolitan ice cream. Victoria sponge.
Palate: Cinnamon swirl. Samphire. Pine nuts. Liquorice. Compact wet grass. Orange peels. Herbaceous notes shining through.
Finish: Old oak. Wet leather. Sea water. Salted liquorice. Old perfume to finish.
Please note: this is a 30ml sample.
