This sample box contains 3, 30ml samples of the following: Glen Grant 1995 Vintage 19 Year Old (Signatory Vintage), Glen Keith 1996 Vintage (Connoisseurs Choice), and a Glenlossie 1997 Vintage 18 Year Old (Signatory Vintage).
Glen Grant 1995 Vintage – 19 Year Old (Signatory)
Distilled on the 31st May 1995, this Glen Grant spent 19 years maturing in two ex-bourbon barrels (cask numbers: 88119 + 881120) before being bottled on the 16th April 2015.
Glen Keith 1996 Vintage – 15 Year Old (Connoisseurs Choice)
This is a 1996 Vintage Glen Keith that was bottled in 2013 by Gordon & MacPhail as part of their legendary Connoisseurs Choice range.
This Glen Keith was matured in Refill Sherry Hogsheads.
The whisky was bottled at 46% abv.
Glenlossie 1997 Vintage – 18 Year Old (Signatory)
This 1997 vintage 18 year old Glenlossie was bottled in 2015 by Signatory Vintage as part of their The Un-Chillfiltered Collection.
The whisky was distilled on the 18th February 1997 and bottled on the 5th May 2015.
The release was a vatting of two Hogsheads (cask numbers: 820 + 821) and was bottled at 46% abv.
Our Tasting Notes:
Glen Grant 1995 Vintage, 19 Year Old (43%)
Nose: Fresh & active oak. Poached pears. Vanilla custard. Delicate spice. Sandalwood.
Palate: Caramel apples. Lime skins. Almonds. Tangerines. Sweet malt.
Finish: Honeydew melon and ginger to finish.
Glen Keith 1996 Vintage, bottled 2013 (46%)
Nose: Old carpet funk. Dry oak. Vintage perfume dispenser. Sandalwood.
Palate: Candied walnuts. Tangerines. Shaved ginger. Fig relish.
Finish: Cloves. Cinnamon. Dry sherry to finish.
Glenlossie 1997 Vintage, 18 Year Old (46%)
Nose: Green tea. Compact cut wet grass. Lemon rinds. Light funk.
Palate: Oily orange peels. Wood varnish. Lemon verbena. Waxy fruit skins. Dried flowers.
Finish: Almond biscuits. Slightly spiced apple pie. Caramel shortbread.
