





Tamdhu 2006 Vintage, Cask Strength, The Ultimate – 30ml

This is a terrific Tamdhu 2006 Vintage cask strength release from the Dutch independent bottler The Ultimate.
Distilled on the 16th February 2006, this single cask Tamdhu spent 9 years ageing in a sherry butt before being bottled on the 20th March 2015 at a WHOPPING 64.5% abv!!!
As with all The Ultimate releases, this whisky is natural colour and non chillfiltered.
Our Tasting Notes:
Nose: STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING X1000. Humidor. Earthy funk. Rawhide. Powerful butterscotch notes. Oil lamps.
Palate: Heavy sherry presence. Very ripe red fruits. Oranges that are starting to turn. Dark chocolate (80%+). Raisin cookies.
Finish: Feral, untamed sherry dominates. Reese’s peanut butter cups. Further orange notes. Roasted coffee beans.

Built in 1897, Tamdhu has always been a key but under the radar Speyside producer for a number of iconic blends such as The Famous Grouse and Cutty Sark.
Since the 1990s, Tamdhu has exclusively matured all of its whisky in ex-sherry casks.
