This is an excellent Ledaig 2005 vintage 11 year old single cask release from Hart Brothers.
Distilled in September 2005 this was matured for 11 years in a single 1st fill sherry butt before being bottled in June 2017 at a natural cask strength of 56.5%.
2005 has become something of a famed Vintage for Ledaig and this particular release highlights why.

Nose: Unmistakably Ledaig. Birthday cake. Dry sea shells. Restrained tar. Earthy funk. Ginger chocolate. Oilskin jacket. Blueberries. Sour cherries.
Palate: Earl grey tea. Canned peaches. Dry peat. Orange slices. Cacao. Pine sap. Spiced cherries.
Finish: Gingerbread. Black pepper. Rich caramel. Ashy finish.
