This is an unusual Jura 1987 Vintage, 12 year old Private Cask bottling.
Filled on the 25th November 1987, this was matured for 12 years in a single hogshead (No.539) before being bottled on the 7th December 1999.
This whisky was bottled at a cask strength of 62% abv.
Our Tasting Notes:
Nose: Caramelised apples. Rice pudding. Warming vanilla. Very dry oak.
Palate: Cinnamon. Cognac. Wet hay. Cloves. Candied fruits.
Finish: Powdered ginger. Vanilla custard that is solidifying. Warming oak.
