Glenrothes Distillery – Active

Founded in 1878, Glenrothes is one of the great Speyside blue chip distilleries. For many years it was a key component in the Cutty Sark blend but has always been regarded as a highly desirable malt.

Glenrothes is known for an extended distillation time in very tall stills that maximise copper contact. The vast majority of its spirit is aged in ex-sherry casks.
