£14.00

This terrific 1997 vintage 18 year old Glenlossie was bottled in 2015 by Signatory Vintage as part of their The Un-Chillfiltered Collection.

The whisky was distilled on the 18th February 1997 and bottled on the 5th may 2015.

The release was a vatting of two Hogsheads (cask numbers: 820 + 821) and was bottled at 46% abv.

Our Tasting Notes:

Nose: Green tea. Compact cut wet grass. Lemon rinds. Light funk.

Palate: Oily orange peels. Wood varnish. Lemon verbena. Waxy fruit skins. Dried flowers.

Finish: Almond biscuits. Slightly spiced apple pie. Caramel shortbread.

Glenlossie Distillery – Active

Glenlossie distillery was founded in 1876 just south of Elgin in the heart of Speyside. Glenlossie has been a fixture of Diageo’s portfolio for over a century and is heavily tailored for large scale blending purposes. As a result it is rarely bottled as a single malt, something that we think is a great shame as Glenlossie produces a fantastic grassy, oily new make.
