This is a Dufftown 8 year old bottling from the early 1980s. Dufftown used this label up until 1985 so we know as a result that the liquid inside was in fact distilled in the mid-late 1970s.
The whisky was bottled at 40%.
Fantastic liquid, this bottling is one of the unsung heroes of the 1980s.

Nose: Wood varnish. Oily rags. Sweaty leather. Figs. Caramelised apples.
Palate: Dried mango slices. Pine needles. Mixed nuts. Dusty bookshelf. Dried cherries.
Finish: Gentle liquorice. Soft bitter old oak. Faint calvados note to finish.
