Blair Athol Distillery – Active
Blair Athol distillery (then known as Aldour) was founded in 1798 in the picturesque Highlands town of Pitlochry.
The Blair Athol spirit has always been highly regarded by blenders and since the 1950s Blair Athol has been an integral component of the Bell’s blend. Arthur Bell & Sons purchased Blair Athol in 1933 during a period of closure for the distillery and production was not resumed at Blair Athol until 1949.
The only consistently produced official bottling of Blair Athol is a 12 year old matured in first-fill ex-Sherry casks, that forms part of Diageo’s Flora & Fauna collection (first introduced in 1991).
