This whisky was the inaugural release from Ardnamurchan distillery. It was distilled back in 2015 and bottled 5 years later in September 2020.
The whisky contains both peated and unpeated malt and was matured in a combination of ex-bourbon (65%) and ex-sherry casks (35% – PX & Oloroso).
The whisky was bottled at 46.8% abv.
Our Tasting Notes:
Nose: Wood varnish. Icing sugar. Pizza dough. Chocolate chip cookies. Very faint dry seaweed note.
Palate: Campfire smoke. Rich honey sweetness. Lemon peels. Warm gingerbread.
Finish: Gentle peat with a warming oak finish.
