This is a very rare early 1980s bottling of the legendary Ainslie’s Royal Edinburgh blend. The blend is famous for containing a high proportion of whisky from old Clynelish/ Brora in it.
The whisky was bottled at 40% at some point in the early 1980s.
A legendary whisky and one well worth trying.
Our Tasting Notes:

Palate: Cinnamon apples. Fennel. Dry peat. Walnuts. Lapsang souchong. Hint of sea salt. Rustic honey.
Finish: Almonds. Shaved ginger. Herbal edge. Further smoke.
